Rickey 88 Posted January 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Just curious, does Oceania serve fresh orange juice at breakfast? If you mean "freshly squeezed", the answer is no. Storage of fresh oranges would take up much space. The juice served I believe is Tropicana, delivered to the ship in cartons.
tanny18 Posted January 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Just curious, does Oceania serve fresh orange juice at breakfast? Yes...we just came off the Insignia and we had pits in our orange juice. Sometimes you have to ask for fresh, but it is there!! Arlene
MightyQuinn Posted January 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Just curious, does Oceania serve fresh orange juice at breakfast?Fresh squeezed OJ was sadly missing from our Regatta cruise last year. It just didn't make sense, since Oceania fancies themselves as a cruise line for foodies yet they miss something so basic. Maybe ask on the "live from" Marina thread if they have fresh squeezed juices now? I would hope so.
JackfromWA Posted January 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2011 The orange juice isn't fresh squeezed in the main dining areas, but suites used to, and probably still do, get fresh squeezed. That being said, I just came off Nautica and found the orange juice MUCH better than I remembered it being in 2007, so while it isn't fresh squeezed, it was quite good and I drank it every morning. Paulchili Posted January 31, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2011 Slightly OT, but I came across this interesting article on FT about orange juice. http://consumerist.com/2009/12/asking-for-orange-juice-on-aa-may-violate-federal-law.html I know that nothing like this can ever happen on O (thankfully) :)
