Is there any place to store baggage ??

Our cruise (Ruby Princess) docks in Venice, but our flight is not till 5.00 , is there any where to store our suitcase's until we are ready or do we have to take all our luggage around with us ???

Or even better can you stay onboard the ship till at least early afternoon ?

I believe there is luggage storage at Santa Lucia Railway terminal not far from the cruise port.

There is probably no way you'll be able to stay on the ship anywhere near as long as you want to.

They will have you off the ship by about 10am. They have to get ready for the next wave that will board shortly after that.

Unfortunately you cannot stay on the ship past last group nor store items on the ship. As noted, they are getting ready for the next group to board.
