What would you do if you had between 3-7 in Anchorage? Would you go to the Alaska Native Hertage Center? We would like to stay in Anchorage in the vicincity of the Cook Hotel. Thanks for your help!:)

Yes, the Alaska Native Heritage Center would be my first choice. Second choice would be the Anchorage Museum http://www.anchoragemuseum.org

which is even closer to your hotel. This would even allow you to have dinner at Orso http://www.orsoalaska.com/index.html which is fairly close by. For a special treat, try some of their smoked salmon chowder.

The Alaska Native Heeritage Center is great and another choice would be the Alaska Experience Theatre, which is downtown.
