carry on own wine?

What is Cunard's policy on bringing on our own wine or alcohol?

I don't want to "smuggle" but I have favorite wine from a winery in Central California that I can guarantee won't be offered on Cunard. I'd rather bring it on "legally".

The policy is 1 bottle of wine or champagne per person. I read this the other day on the Cunard website. :)

Msz Kitty. While the rule is one bottle, I am sure Cunard would not mind if you brought a second or even a third. If its opened for you in the dining rooms expect to pay $15 corkage fee though.

Can we bring the bottle/s on either in hand luggage or in our main suitcases on the first day do you know? Either way it gets scanned I know but I just wondered if they stipulated? :)

I boarded recently with 3 bottles in carryon luggage and the corkage fee is now $20 per bottle.

Thanks, but the corkage fee is only if you ask them to open it in a public area - not if you open it in your state room, right?

They've changed the policy. There is no limit (within reason) as to what you may bring.

 

We've always taken about half a dozen bottles of fizz without any problems and even had our butler serve it.

We brought our favourite tipple on board at every port of call on our recent cruise and were never questioned.:)
