Premier Parking Ventures - Ft. Lauderdale ?

Will be driving to Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise out of Port Everglades in March. Came across this company's website offering parking for $5 a day. Much less than the $15 at the port. Has anyone ever used this company, and if so what was your experience?

Here is their website: http://premierparkingusa.com/our-services/port-everglades-cruise-parking.php

Thanks for your help.

This parking service is cheap. He has one van no office works out of a van. Just a sign in the street when you arrive at the address. Park your car close to the sign. He arrived after about 45 minutes, had about 20 people waiting. He just took nine people at a time, he owns one white van, a paper in the window saying premier parking. He took nine to the port and told us he would be right back to get us. He got back 45 minutes or longer, to get us . By that time he had about 50 people waitingfor service. People started leaving when they say his set-up. Everyone was upset how slow he, was and getting angry, he got angry back at the people . If you want to wait on a street in the sun, to take your turn to get to the port, your wait could be hours. Next time I would pay the $15 dollars at the port

We parked there this month at the new lot on SR84. The lot is gated and behind a club in a retail area. When we arrived at 11:20AM there were approximately 40 people and luggage waiting. There was one van running that could comfortably hold about 8 people but was crammed with much more -one man in our van sat on his suitcase rather than break up his party and wait an unknown period of time. The wait from arriving until getting to the pier was well over 2 hours. Fortunately, the weather was decent or it would have been unbearable. Several people asked how long it would take (a reasonable question asked politely) and they were told "If you don't like waiting, you can go somewhere else." Unbelievably rude!

Another woman with whom I'd been chatting wanted to go across the street to Wendy's to get some food (not hitting the buffet early this day!) and asked the driver how long it would be and she was met with the same dismissive answer of "if you don't like it" rather than answer her question -she was very patient and didn't want to miss her ride if she went for lunch.

Unfortunately most booked ahead of time online and thus felt stuck, including us. Several parties took taxis to the pier and another shuttled their party to the pier in their own vehicle and then returned to catch a ride himself.

When we returned we were off the ship by 8:30 and called the driver directly as told to do. He stated that he had picked up a group and would be back. When my wife asked how long he thought it would be he initially refused to give an answer and then snarkily said, "fine, an hour." We took a cab back rather than deal with any other aggravation.

We can forgive a company that has stretched a little beyond it's capacity but not with such incredible rudeness and complete disregard for the customer.

We thought of pursuing resolution through the credit card company but have had enough aggravation and just want to forget this piece of our vacation. $40+ for a hard lesson learned.

If you haven't guessed by now, we strongly recommend finding another parking alternative. Enjoy your cruise!

I unfortunately used Premier Parking in early March. I did notice the representative stated they added a lot. During our horrible experience (similar to other postings) we had to drive by another parking area in our full van just to tell a group of waiting cruisers to go to the lot we came from where they should park. Their attendant did very little. Everyone drove in and went nose in, it wasn't until the driver showed up and told everyone to back into their space. Why didn't the attendant do this as you drove in? In addition, with the large group of people and more coming there was alot of stress and mild aggression because there was no line or ticket numbers and everyone wanted to make sure they got on the van in the order they arrived.

Yes, when we were there they were over their heads and couldn't handle their operation (again early March). This is no reason to be blantly rude to people. Lie to me, tell me your other driver called in sick. Instead the driver was rude about every aspect of the process. I don't care if Premier Parking called me and told me they fired this driver/operator, I still WOULD NEVER GO to ANY of their cruise parking lots.

We did end up taking a taxi back from the cruise terminal, like EDNET experienced the driver was not able to simply estimate how long it would take to pick us up and was again, a week later, extremely rude.

NEVER AGAIN.

I joined cruise critic for this purpose only!

We arrived on Saturday March 19, 2011 to find the main lot full. We had to drive to an auxilliary lot about 4 miles away. This was not bad but then we waited for an hour and 15 minutes in the hot sun for the van to pick us up. One man who was handicapped waited along with us but by the time the van arrived an hour later there were so many people there they left him and his wife behind! But here is the real dig, when we returned to port we called the phone number given to us by the driver to call for a return trip and he had been fired! He told us we were on our own, no one at Premier would answer the phone so we all had to take a cab to the parking lot. My car was at the overflow lot which I did not have an address for so I had to take a cab to the main lot and hitch a ride back to the other lot. It was a complete nightmare from start to finish, The driver and lot attendant were very rude and did not care one way or another about the poor customers many of whom were senior citizens and unable to get around easily. By the time I paid $20 for the cab I was no better off money wise either. My opinion is get another company to park your car.

:mad::mad:

We made reservations to park two cars with Premiere for a March 26 cruise. While confirming the date and price with a phone call we were told, we would park our own car and take the keys. Upon arrivial at the open parking lot we were instructed where to park and for the keys by an attentant who did not understand English. He could not even tells us where to wait for the van! After waiting approx an hour for the van, the driver was able to resolved the parking/key issues.

After the cruise when we attempted to call the company and the cell number the van driver gave us, NO one would answer their phones. An independent driver took us to the parking lot. At the lot we found our vehicles blocked in by other cars, who's keys they could not find! We departed the ship at 945am and finally got on the road to drive home at 1230pm..

NOT, let me repeat NOT worth the money you save!!!!

I reserved a spot and then saw all the bad reviews and tried to cancel. No one would answer my e-mails or when i tried to call all the voice mailboxes were full. This went on for 5 days and i finally filed a dispute with the credit card co.Of course soon as i did that they finally contacted me and credited my card back.If you cancel they take one day parking and a service fee which was 13.29.My advice is to go somewhere else.I hear park and go is good. I found a room at the Hyattplace with free parking for 14 days on stay123.com .Only 119.00.for a room and parking. They have a shuttle which drops you off at the cruiseport .I think this is the way to go

We just got back from a 14 day Celebrity cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. The cruise itself was lovely but we made a HUGE mistake choosing Premier Parking USA for our off site parking. The price was right but the experience was beyond terrible.

When we arrived at the lot around noon, it took over ten minutes before someone even spoke to us. It was incredibly disorganized. No one seemed to know what they were doing. Finally one staff person told us to pull up and dump our luggage, assuming we were parking in that lot. Afterwards, another staff person (and I use the term loosely - just because they were wearing matching shirts, it did not appear that anyone was in charge) told us to pull up and wait for a large RV. When the RV appeared we were told to follow the RV to another lot, without our luggage, where a van would pick us up. We were dropped off at the lot and the wait began. It was another thirty minutes before a van finally arrived. When it did, we waited another fifteen minutes for another couple to show up, then had to return to the original lot to pick up our bags before proceeding to the ship.

We were told the problem was the port itself but it was obvious they did not have enough vans or drivers to serve the number of people they had already collected payment from. In all it took us well over an hour from the time we arrived to park our car to get to the cruise port. What should have been a care free experience was a stressful way to start our cruise.

It was even worse when we got off the cruise ship. We made numerous calls to Premier, each with a promise that a van was "on the way" or had "just left" or would "be there in 15 minutes or 20 minutes" or whatever seemed like the answer that would keep us waiting. We were in the correct pick up lot and watched as hundreds of other people were picked up by hotel shuttles, car lot shuttles, buses, etc. After an hour we were the last two people standing in the pick up lot and were still being promised someone was on the way. We finally requested the address for the second lot, hailed a cab and within 5 minutes and $22 later were at our car.

I've given Premier the chance to make it right but honestly have no expectations. They were unprofessional, grossly unprepared and seemingly had never run this type of operation before. The word amateur comes to mind.

There are many good choices for off site parking in Ft Lauderdale. Choose with care.

It should be noted that there is a Premier Parking Ventures and a Premier Cruise Parking and that they are separate. I just gave a brief review of Premier Cruise Parking (book thru United Airport Parking.com) on the board for that service.

The main reason I joined cruise critic was to warn others of this company's bad service.

I booked with them on March 6, 2011 and arrived at the SR84 location in Fort Lauderdale at 10:00 a.m. on April 3rd. Their lot was full and I could not park my car. Also, no shuttle would be available until 11:30 a.m. at the earliest. The attendant told that I would probably have to park my car at another lot nearby and leave my guys with them. While this was going on, I noticed another couple standing around looking very upset. They told me that they had been waiting over an hour for someone to get their car that had been moved to another location without their permission. They also told me about others on their cruise that had problems at this lot. I decided to leave since they could not provide the service I had prepaid for on line. I drove to the Pier Parking at Port Everglades and paid $15.00 a day. I called Premier twice and emailed them, requesting a refund to my credit card. They never called back. I have complained to my credit card company and am waiting to hear back.

I say forget about trying to save a buck here. It isn't worth the stress and aggravation. Pier Parking is expensive but it gave me peace of mind. However, I think the hotel and shuttle packages are probably the best way to go.

We just returned from a Princess cruise on Saturday, April 30th. While the shuttle to the terminal was fairly easy. (my husband dropped us off with the luggage, so it was just him on the shuttle to the terminal.) Our return trip was very unpleasant, we called after leaving the ship at 9:30. We were told to wait under an elevator sign at the terminal drop off across from the normal drop off. We met up with two other parties going to Premiere parking. We called after waiting thirty minutes and were told they were on their way. One of the other parties called and they were told the shuttle was just leaving? It started to pour down rain and we had no cover and our luggage was exposed. We called at one hour, when we called again, we simply got an answering machine. One of the parties then took a cab. We waited with the other couple, but my husband finally got a cab ride with them, $10.00 and security was telling me and my daughters to move our luggage and get out og the area we were in. He then came over and said you van is here, it was unmarked!!! We had not seen one unmarked van drive past in all that time. The driver said he had been by 7 times? My husband was on his way back to pick us up, so we did not take the shuttle, but I did advise the driver I would be posting the rediculous wait on the internet, in every domain I could find. We left the terminal at 12:15. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!! several park n go vans past us, and we could have been half way to home had we used them for a few dollars more!!!!

I just got off the Allure of the Seas today. Unfortunately, I chose these clowns for parking too!

Getting picked up last Sunday was a disaster. After trying to find the "business" for an hour, I called the 800 # on my confirmation only to be told that "I'm in Tampa, I don't know where you need to go". So, I call another #, no answer, then another #. A gentleman asnwers and tells me to park at "Karu". This place looked like a seedy strip club with about 20 cars parked in a gated lot and broken Corona bottles. Ok, so we pull in and wait for 20 minutes for the "shuttle".... nothing happens. I call back and within 10 minutes, a lady showed up in her personal SUV. We got dropped off.

The real drama started this morning when I tried to reach them at 7am. Voicemail box was FULL!!!!!!!!!! I called a 3rd #. Got the shuttle bus driver... bingo, right? NO, not at all. This idiot tells me that I cannot get picked up unless I have the yellow smiley face stickers he gave us (4 ladies- me, my mom, and 2 daughters) when he dropped us off. I tried so many times to politely explain to him that HE did not drop us off, a lady did in her personal vehicle and she NEVER mentioned stickers. He said, "NOPE! I dropped you off and I did give them to you...." Then he hung up on me and would NOT answer when I repeatedly called back. This was unbelievable!

I called the 800# again and someone answered. WHEW! I explained what happened and he apologized, sent the idiot to pick us up and off we go, but not until I gave him a piece of my mind. There was another couple in the van with us who had the same complaints.

THIS COMPANY IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. USE SOMEONE ELSE!

I plan to post this on every website I can find!

Although I did not use Premier Ventures, my experience in contacting them was completely satisfactory. I called the company twice for information and was always answered promptly and politely. After booking on-line, I decided to double-check with Cruise Critic, and, of course, I was completely put off by all the complaints. So--I sent an e-mail, requesting my money back in full (despite their posted policy) and requesting the same for a member of my party who had also booked with Premier. I received an immediate e-mail, telling me that the company was aware of the complaints, had recently changed operators, and was working to please its customers. They would welcome a change of mind, but, if not, they would process the refund. Well, at that point, the group had already decided to go elsewhere. As promised, an immediate refund was issued to both me and my traveling buddy, exactly as I had requested (in full)--and without hassle. I feel that this company may be making a turnaround. If I travel again to Fort Lauderdale, I would probably ask more questions, but I WOULD consider Premier Ventures. FSU Super

We have used Park 'N Fly numerous times with very fast and efficient service.

I've also seen very good reviews for Park 'N Go.

Both are right outside the entrance to the port.

We've just returned from a cruise having used Premier Parking, despite our fears after reading the many problems folks have had. Apparently, the people at Premier read them too because our experience could not have been better. The personnel were courteous, helpful and friendly. The transportation showed up on time and when I inadvertantly left my camera in my car, they made a special trip from the port, at no charge, to take me back for it.

We will use them again.
