ds521 Posted February 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Does anyone have any information about being permitted to bring wine aboard the Celebrity Eclipse? We've seen several reviews in which people say they're able to do this but just wondered what everyone's experience has been. Thanks in advance for your help. Wine-O Posted February 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Does anyone have any information about being permitted to bring wine aboard the Celebrity Eclipse? We've seen several reviews in which people say they're able to do this but just wondered what everyone's experience has been. Thanks in advance for your help. Their website says 2 bottles per stateroom for consumption in your stateroom. If you bring it to the dining room or public areas, there is a $25 corkage charge. Doesn't specify size of bottles. themutis Posted February 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2011 We cruised on the Solstice in January and brought two nice bottles on board to have with dinner. We just brought the wine to the restaurant before we had cocktails. The sommelier opened the wine and decanted it for us. Then she served the wine with our dinner. It was a great way to have a nicer bottle of wine without completely overpaying. There is a 25.00 fee for opening each bottle. Hope this helps
SI Cruiser Posted February 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2011 You are permitted to bring two 750ML bottles of wine on board for consumption in your room. As previously mentioned there is a $25 corkage fee for the MDR.
wineluvr Posted February 2, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2011 We always bring onboard two bottles of very nice wine and gladly pay the $25 corkage fee to enjoy great wine in the MDR or Specialty Restaurant that would be several hundred dollars a bottle on the wine list.
