sabookkeeper Posted February 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2011 We are sailing on the Ruby leaving on Sunday. This is the first time we are driving to Ft. Lauderdale and leaving our car in the parking lot directly across from Pier 2. I noticed yesterday, that the Ruby disembarked at pier 29 instead of pier 2. Does anyone know how we get back to the parking lot if this happens with our cruise?
chrysalis Posted February 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2011 Princess will have buses for you, if your cruise arrives back at a different pier that you left from. We have also taken a cab from one spot to the other.

There is a shuttle bus that will take you to the pier where you parked your car if you return to another pier than the one you departed from. I don't think there is a charge for that either. My suggestion would be for the driver to go get the car and leave the luggage with the rest of the party and return with the car so you won't have to drag it on and off the bus. knbcruisers Posted February 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2011 Thanks for sharing your experience! great question. I didn't know this could happen, but know I'll know what to do if it happens to us. Good advie on sending one person to get the vehicle. We will have a group of 7 ages 1-73, it would be a real pain to have to take all the luggage on a bus or in a cab.
Infi Posted February 8, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2011 The Port Everglades shuttles will take you between the two garages and all the various piers. There is no charge for them.
coo359a2 Posted February 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2011 We were on this cruise that returned to Pier 29 on Sunday. We were informed early on in the cruise that this would happen and that Princess would be providing shuttles (free). Our meet time to disembark was 7:15am. Got to the casino around 7:10, was immediately told to go on off the ship, picked up luggage, went thru customs, on the shuttle and back to pier 2 and out of the garage by 7:41. Couldn't ask for a better disembaraktion process.
