rbsb Posted February 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2011 Hi All, Last cruised the PG two years ago, thought the food was FANTASTIC....does anyone have some recent restuarant menus (all three venues would be great) that they could post. Just want to see the difference since the ownership change. Thanks Rob
Silver Sweethearts Posted February 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2011 To answer part of your question (L'Etoile menus only), google Luxury Cruise Bible: Paul Gauguin Cruises Dining Experience. You can see several of their dinner menus from last May. The chef has changed since then, but the menus are very similar to what we had when we were on board just last month. MightyQuinn Posted February 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2011 PG announced that they will continue their long-standing relationship with Michelin-starred Chef Jeanne-Pierre Vigato. For 2011, all sailings will feature his signature menu in La Veranda as well as select dishes at L’Etoile. There are a few sample menus attached to the press release. I'm unsure if these tasting menus are generally offered on PG or if they'll only be featured on the sailing with Chef Vigato aboard. Maybe recent cruisers can comment. http://www.pgcruises.com/theme-sailings/jean-pierre.aspx
Emdee Posted February 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2011 At one time La Veranda was called Apicius.
mako2992 Posted February 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Are the menus now those of Chef Vigato? In one spot it suggests that he will begin in July 2011 while another suggests he is the Executive Chef at the beginning of 2011.
