Nassau Fire

Sad to see the fire. But, not being allowed off the ship in Nassau wouldn't much of a problem for anyone who has been there before. The crew not being able to party at Bamboo will be upset.
Sorry, I have been to Nassau many times and I love it. I Hope everyone is OK in this great port of call!!

This is so awful. I hope everyone is okay.

We lost our home and everything in it 1 month ago today. My boyfriend luckily heard the smoke alarm and got out but was pretty badly burned. Fire is such a demon. I have always been so terrified of fire. Now I am 10 times as scared. No insurance on the house either.:( This has been a total nightmare.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family are doing ok. Thank goodness that no one was more seriously hurt. I hope your DBF is doing good. Going through something like this brings you closer to each other. I am sending happy vibes and prayers your way!!!

Thank you! The happy vibes and prayers are the things that are keeping us in optimism mode. :)

Aye, I just saw the news myself on the Tribune website

( http://www.tribune242.com/ )...a terrible thing.

For those who are leaving tonite / tomorrow, or have friends heading to Nassau.. Nassau's East Bay Street is on fire.

From the Bacardi Store on the corner of Rawson Square, including Crew Pub down to Kelly's dock.. it's ablaze..

Passengers are not being allowed off their ships.

No they are letting passangers off the ship. It was only temporary. They let the passangers off yesterday after they got the fire under control.

My friends and I were let off the Sensation on Wednesday. Saw the damage, it was really bad. They were still spraying water on the fire on Wednesday the 15th when we docked. got some pictures but don't know how to post them. Cab driver said the building was really ond from 1930's. Very sad.
