Nassau Fire

For those who are leaving tonite / tomorrow, or have friends heading to Nassau.. Nassau's East Bay Street is on fire.

 

From the Bacardi Store on the corner of Rawson Square, including Crew Pub down to Kelly's dock.. it's ablaze..

 

Passengers are not being allowed off their ships.

My heart is with all of my friends in Nassau. I am thankful to read that injuries seem to be minimal although property damage looks to be great.

Very sad for the people of Nassau. Hope its put out soon with no injuries. This will be a hard hit for the locals.

Sad to see the fire. But, not being allowed off the ship in Nassau wouldn't much of a problem for anyone who has been there before. The crew not being able to party at Bamboo will be upset.

That fire looks huge!!! I hope everyone is okay, no one was hurt!!! I'll be visiting Nassau in 2 Friday's from this coming up Friday so I'll be seeing the damage/remains of this horrible fire.

This is so awful. I hope everyone is okay.

 

We lost our home and everything in it 1 month ago today. My boyfriend luckily heard the smoke alarm and got out but was pretty badly burned. Fire is such a demon. I have always been so terrified of fire. Now I am 10 times as scared. No insurance on the house either.:( This has been a total nightmare.

Very sad, was just married in Nassau on Feb 1st. Hopefully no injuries come of this and Nassau will be able to recover. Heart goes out to Nassau

Thank you for posting this information. My prayers are with all the people affected by the fire. I'm sorry to see those historic buildings destroyed but glad that no one was killed.
