Having been to Lisbon would like to take the train to Sintra. I understand that one has to go to the Rossio station and it takes 40 minutes.

 

Do we take a taxi to the train station from the port or can we walk?

 

What are the must sees in Sintra?

 

We are in port from 12-8 pm. Do we have enough time?

The Rossio train station is not near the port, you will have to take a taxi.

 

Be sure you research Sintra. As I recall one of the palaces is closed on Wednesdays. Some sites in Europe are often closed on Mondays.

There are some trams right at the port where you can hop on and they will get you close to the station. We had a lovely day in Sintra and there are many trains but afterwards felt sad that we missed a lot in Lisbon. Since it was a MOnday, everything was closed in Lisbon and that is why we went to Sintra Count on 6 hours total if you want to visit Sintra acounting for the commute.
