okgirl Posted February 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Anyone know what the standard Bon Voyage gift is from the Players Club??? It can really vary, from just a few chocolate covered strawberries, to a couple of drink coupons for the standard package. I get the deluxe package and it has a different mix everytime but usually 3 or 4 of the following items: 12 chocolate covered strawberries fruit basket champagne 4-8 drink coupons canape tray a coupon for casino cash You could probably call them at 888-672-2582 and they can tell you exactly what you are going to get. PA Dutchman Posted February 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Seems like some ships are different, last 2 cruises we got 8 choc. covered strawberries and 4 photo coupon - $15.00 off for each. 2 bottles of champagne in the MDR from the players club. We also got our perks for being Milestone Invitation to cruise with Players club. We received with the cruise $1250.00 cash, 8 choc covered strawberries, free drinks right away for both as long as we were playing slots, players club towel, players club hat. and we won $1700 and took it home (playing all week), we were happy. I had 2 more invites since then but could not go. So we are waiting for another invitation for wherever it goes.
winddawn Posted February 19, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Anyone know what the standard Bon Voyage gift is from the Players Club??? The "standard" gift from the Players Club is usually a plate of chocolate covered strawberries delivered to your cabin at embarkation. It is usually accompanied by a letter with a free drink in the casino. Sometimes they also do other non-standard gifts such as a bottle of wine in the dining room at supper or photo coupons. Cavners5 Posted February 19, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2011 what is the players club?
mass02703 Posted February 19, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2011 It is the club that you automatically are part of by playing in the casino on board the ship. The more you play, the better the perks the next time you cruise. If you have cruised in the past (and played in the casino) then you can call the 1-800 # that a previous poster posted and tell them that you will be cruising again and ask if you have any perks coming to you. When I sailed in November I called and received a premium package. I received a bottle of wine, a fruit basket, photo coupons, and a fun ship Freddy stuffed animal. Rare chasinraynbowz Posted February 19, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2011 We went in November and I got Choc covered strawberries and a $15 photo coupon for the Standard Bon Voyage Gift. The photo coupon was delivered to me at dinner the first night. Dutchman, you must gamble most of the time you are on the ship... lol.
mcwebber Posted February 19, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2011 It is the club that you automatically are part of by playing in the casino on board the ship. It's not automatic at the tables. They don't know who you are there. Go to the cashier and sign up before you play.
Rosefloater Posted February 19, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2011 The "standard" gift from the Players Club is usually a plate of chocolate covered strawberries delivered to your cabin at embarkation. On my recent cruise a week ago, the standard package is strawberries and a photo coupon and the premium package (fruit basket, 2 bottles of water, wine & cheese). No letter for a free drink. I think they stopped giving the letter for a free drink at the casino. However, the host did come around on the last night & he gave us a free drink. phatsneaks Posted February 19, 2011 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Do you have to email someone to let them know you are on a specific cruise and cabin?
mass02703 Posted February 19, 2011 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2011 It would be best to call them directly on the line that a previous poster posted. I have heard of many people emailing and having to do so several times before they heard back (if they ever did). If you call during working hours you can talk to someone directly and they will put in your information and immediately tell you if you are eligible for a gift. Luckysll Posted February 19, 2011 #14 Share Posted February 19, 2011 I just finished a B2B on the Miracle and received two bottles of water; a gift basket containing wine, fruit, nuts, cheese and crackers; and a coupon worth $15 off a photo. I received this at the start of each week. In addition, Carnival sent a small fruit basket and a bottle of champagne at the start of the second week of the B2B. I ended up giving a lot of the fruit to my cabin steward rather than have it go to waste. Here's a picture of the deluxe basket: Second week with both baskets and bottles of water:
boaterette Posted February 19, 2011 #15 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Just an FYI, I called the players club before my last cruise on the Splendor this past October. I was suppossed to receive the premium package but only received the standard. Not really a big deal all though the water would have been nice. I have called them again for my cruise next Friday on the spirit so we will see what happens this time.
dmsalyers Posted February 19, 2011 #16 Share Posted February 19, 2011 I called the players club at 1-888-672-2582 and was told I have $150.00 cash back at the cashiers cage and they will also have package for me in my cabin for my May 8th Pride cruise. Of course I did spend some time in the casino on my last cruise. I think its better to call. Joe
Rosefloater Posted February 20, 2011 #17 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Do you have to email someone to let them know you are on a specific cruise and cabin? Here is the Website for Ocean Players Club. Where it asks for your membership #, leave it blank. Under comments, give them your sailing date, ship & booking #. Sometimes they will need your birthdate. It would be best to call them directly on the line that a previous poster posted. I have heard of many people emailing and having to do so several times before they heard back (if they ever did). If you call during working hours you can talk to someone directly and they will put in your information and immediately tell you if you are eligible for a gift. If you email them, you need to do so about 2 weeks in advance and possibly 3 more times before they respond. My mom called them the night before she went on a cruise and was immediately told what she was eligible for. Usually it is best to call them about a week before Here is an picture of the gift basket exploded.
