serendipity1499: smilies when typing

Recommended Posts

I went to the TEST FORUM and experimented:

When typing (without spaces)

3 : o p you get 3:op

3 : p you get 3:p

3 : 0 0 p you get 3:00p

I've seen this happen in other posts, so you got my curiosity up!

All the smilies are text strings. In addition to the two you found, try (without spaces)

: wink :

: D

: )

: (

: mad :

: cool :

: eek :

: rolleyes :

: confused :

"It's 10: p.m. do you know where your children are ?" or as our Children now ask "It's 11: p.m. Do you know where your Parents are ?"

LOL

Betty,

If you type : eek : without the spaces between the : and the 'e' and then the 'k' and the final : you will get the emoticon that looks like this

If you type : cool : without any spaces between colon and letter, you get

etc as per the list jtl513 posted.

copied and pasted from jtl513's post -

(I couldn't post all the emoticons as it exceeds the number CC permits in one post.)
