Princess status transferable to Costa?

We are platinum on Princess and have booked our first Costa cruise in the Med this fall. Can we request that our status be transferred since they are sister lines or is there any benefit to be gained by doing so? Anyone?

As far as i am aware you cannot transfer status across as far as i know! you used to be able to do it here in the UK with P and O but that was stopped about 2 years ago. The only lines i know where you can is RCI to Celebrity and Azamara and vice versa.

 

But i could be wrong.

Never heard of such athing, but that is not to say it is not possible.

 

Suggest you contact both Princess and Costa for their reaction.

Last time I checked you could not use the perks with a different cruise line even though they are owned by the same company.

Thank you for the responses. I called Costa just to reconfirm and as you all suggested there is no reciprocal benefit for the sister lines' loyalty programs. Oh well...hopefully, we'll have a nice experience on Costa and will want to repeat it! :D

I've been trying to do this with an online booking myself. When I go to enter in the past passenger number, do I use our Carnival number since that is the company that owns Costa? I also have numbers for Carnival's other brands like Princess etc.
