Are there elevators or steps in all the train stations in Rome?

Need to plan my trip and I have an escalator phobia. For me to use the trains I will need stairs or elevator.Do they exist in all the train stations? Thanks

It will vary station to station and even within stations it will depend on your binario or track you need to go to for your train.

I can't tell you if every train station will have an elevator but they all have stairs. Lots of them. Pack accordingly. :eek:

To go from the main part of the Termini station to the Metro line require stairs. I don't recall an elevator going to the Metro. The station itself is one level to the street, no steps involved.

Termini has elevators, escalators and stairs.

 

Rome Trastevere has stairs and elevators.

 

Rome Ostiense has elevators and stairs, and an escalator that has been out of order for more than a year. (Maybe it has a phobia about working.)

 

Rome San Pietro has only stairs, as far as I know.

Thanks everyone. I am looking to go to Orvietto one day and Tivoli or Osta antica on another. The other days I would use the Metro to get around. Now that I know I have steps or elevators I will feel comfortable using the trains. When you have a phobia it is difficult to plan when you need to be concerned if you can get down to one station and up from another.
