sherlynn Posted March 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2011 I know, kind of a strange question, but just wondering if we'll see trees and lights on our December 4 caribbean cruise on the Adventure. I was born in December and married in December so it's a special month for me!
awboater Posted March 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2011 I think you will be in luck. We went on the Grandeur on Dec 7, 2009 and they had decorations up. And every day they would add another decoration. Since they already had a substantial number of decorations up already, it appears that they had been at it for a few days. But I would imagine it varies from ship to ship.
Tucker in Texas Posted March 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2011 We've done several trans-Atlantics on Royal Caribbean that departed right after Thanksgiving. When we boarded, they had started by placing poinsettias around and by the end of the first week it was pretty much done. Tucker in Texas

wingnutphl Posted March 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2011 I've been on 2 cruises that started on Thanksgiving weekend and both times the decorations were being put out. RCI is just like everyone else and decorates that weekend. :D
Beth C Posted March 4, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2011 My 2 "big" cruises left the 1st week of December and the ships were all decked out for the holidays - they did do a much better job on the Allure than the Oasis I have to say... probably about a 25ft difference in the height of the xmas trees :)
billie5 Posted March 4, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Based on what advertisers have been doing over the past few years, in the U.S. at least, I would estimate that by 2025 decorating will begin on January 1 (for the following Christmas). Bill
bajathree Posted March 4, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Thanksgiving sailings are usually decorated for Christmas.

Rare 01Sweetpea Posted March 4, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2011 We were on the Liberty for Thanksgiving week and they were decorating all week. By the end of the week the tree was up and I was able to get the Family Chirstmas picture done!

Baseballkurt Posted March 5, 2011 #13 Share Posted March 5, 2011 Both of our December cruises for in the full spirit. Some for the pictures they take have a large tree in the back ground. You have nothing to worry about.
