Packing question

I plan on packing a suit for our cruise, but am trying to avoid a garment bag. Any tips on how to best pack a suit without it turning into a wrinkled mess? What about my wife's dresses?

We use the "fold over" method for formal wear. Have never had a problem using it. Stack the garments turning each one 90 degrees, then fold one side, the other side, the other side, the other side, etc.

Can't speak to dresses. That's DW's secret. If you have a fold over built in garment area in your large suitcase they work well. Otherwise, fold the fewest times as possible and hang it up as soon as you get your luggage in your cabin.
