Mercury vs. Mein Schiff 2

It is interesting to compare deck plans for Mercury and the renovated Mein Schiff 2. It looks like they added several balcony rooms forward on deck 9 and an extensive number of balcony rooms on deck 8. It also looks like they took a page from the Century and placed a fine dining restaurant on deck 5. Very similiar to the Century's location for Murano.

It also looks like they opted for a steakhouse instead of a casino.

I can understand that your liked the Mercury. We love the ship. We Went last year and we're going again , possibly for the last time, in a few weeks time.

I Think that your observations are correct. The interior of the ship is really nice.

The biggest difference on the outside is obviously the balconies. On the inside it's the addition of the enourmous sauna landscape in the aft. We spent a couple of hours there - every afternoon. That's how nice it is.

The reason that it's probably going to be our last Cruise is that she is leaving the fleet reasonably soon in order to join Thomson Cruises.
