Travelrd Posted April 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2011 does hal have priests on board their ships for easter? cheers
Jemima Posted April 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Yes, there is a priest on all or nearly all HAL cruises. Easter, Christmas and most longer cruises also have a Protestant minister. On Easter morning mass will be held in the showroom. The Protestant service will also be held in the showroom. Religious services are usually held in the Culinary Arts center or one of the meeting rooms, but move to the showroom on Easter and I'd guess also on Christmas. There will also be a rabbi onboard for cruises during Passover and for some longer cruises. Also, the Easter bunny makes an appearance on Easter. This is mostly for Club HAL so adults will have to be prompt not to miss him.

scopewest Posted April 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 8, 2011 It depends on the priest but mass can be short and sweet or rather drawn out. If you leave on a Sat. there will be a mass around 5 p.m. on Saturday for Sunday. But there's also a Sunday mass the next morning as well.
