Dinner ideas in Galveston?

We are sailing on the VOS this weekend and have an extra night on Saturday. We like to try local establishments for dinner - any ideas?

Go to Galveston dot com. This web site has a ton of info and many diner choices to pick from. don't know what type of diner option you are looking for. But this site covers a lot of them. Have fun on your crusie

There's Fishermen's Wharf & Willie G's on the dock but there's others along the Seawall, also went to a Yamamoto's (I think) on 61st, that was good too.

We have many great restaurants here from Olympia at Pier 21 (Greek) on harbor to 5 star Rudy & Paco's (South American), Saltwater Grill (seafood) Sky Bar (Japanese), Mosquito Cafe on 14th. These and many more are locally owned. Too many good places to eat here without going to a chain restaurant.

We ate at the Fishermen's Wharf a few weeks back before our cruise. It was a fun place with some seaside atmosphere. It is located right by the cruise piers.

Another vote for Gaido's...they have the best seafood in town and I LOVE their shrimp bisque!!!

Shrimp n Stuff is a few blocks from the beach. It's a dive, but it is GREAT!!! A lot less than the big restaurants as well.

Yes! Saltgrass is awesome! They have this Shiner Bock beer bread that is amazing!!!

You can always head to the Strand spend the afternoon exploring and have dinner at a number of places. As another person suggested go to Galveston dot com and check out the choices! :)
