Annagon24 Posted May 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2011 We are on May 25th sailing and will be in Bora Bora on May 27 and 28. We are looking for an island tour to do on May 27. Has anyone done Island Tour by "le Truck" offered through Paul Gaugin? Is there a guide that provides commentary along a way or no? Is it the same thing as taking a local shuttle? Does anyone have any suggestions for an island
Emdee Posted May 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2011 I would suggest the safari in Bora Bora. The views from the top are fabulous.
Wendy The Wanderer Posted May 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2011 I've done both the "Le Truck" tour, and the 4x4 on Bora Bora. The 4x4 is special. The day we did the le truck, they used a air-conditioned minibus because it was very hot and humid--normallly it's an open bus, the same vehicle that they use for local transport. The tour was very nice, saw lots of the island. But on the 4x4, you see the same things, but more because you go up into the hills and have great view, adn some exciting trails. Not for the faint of heart for sure, some very rough terrain, but great fun.
