use of laptops on Ventura

ahoy shipmates

we are off on Ventura next week, and cannot find out if there is any value in taking a laptop, its a 17 day cruise around w med and i unfortunately will have some work to do generally on a daily basis or at least when at sea.

John- have you joined the roll call for this cruise? There's quite a lot of us meeting in the Metropolis bar on deck 18, Sat at 2pm.....we can tell you more then.

Last year, we had to buy the full internet packet from P&O because of an unfortunate event at home....it's very expensive, although each minute works out cheaper the more you buy.:confused: This is the same whether you use your own computer, which we have taken on V., or the ship's internet room on 5.

One bit of news....the 2 days in Venice are the big Sensa festival, when they throw the ring in the sea. I'm just going to put it on the roll call....which is both on CC and the UK forum.
