Halifax food

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me? I have been to Halifax before and wanted to find English food- like port pies and sausage rolls. Does anyone know where to get these things- is there a good "English" bakery anywhere in town?

According to my Brit friend, the best place for imported English fare is Pete's Fruitique there are two locations, neither of which I've been to so I'm not sure if they both carry the same items, the website should help you out there. The Dreseden Row location would be closest to the port, you could probably walk there and take a cab back to the ship.

I'll be near there tomorrow, if I have time I'll have a peek in.

As for fresh made British style food, I'm not sure what might be available. There a few english style pubs here, maybe if you "Google" it you might come up with something.
