Rome Hotels near the Vatican

My sister and I will be staying in Rome for 2 nights post cruise and would like to find a hotel near the Vatican to stay in. We have heard of the Columbus Hotel, andwere wondering if anyone has stayed there or if anyone would recommend any other hotels.

I will be in Rome in two weeks and we booked the Visconti Palace hotel which is near the Vatican.

We will be in Rome in the middle of June. We have booked Best Western Spring House near the Vatican Museum. It got a good review from TripAdvisor.

We love Hotel Prati which is about 7 blocks from St. Peter's Square. We stayed there over 2 weeks last month and 2 weeks at the same time last year. It is our "home" when we are in Rome. :)

Is there some reason you want to stay near the Vatican? I would not find this a very central location.

Tahnks for all the input. We settled on the Palazza Cardinal Cesi and got a great price for booking so early!

 

We want to be near the Vatican as that is the main focus of our time in Rome. We visited the other sites 2 years ago.
