Restaurants near Pan Pacific

Recommended Posts

We will be staying at the Pan Pacific 3 nights after our cruise. We are wondering where to get a quick breakfast other than the hotel before we start touring for the day. Any suggestions? Also is the Five sails restaurant really worth the price??

many thanks

Worth the price is a pretty subjective call. Some people will say yes, others no.

Nearby the Pan Pacific there are literally hundreds of restaurants/pubs. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast, there's a good pub-style restaurant a few blocks away (on W.Pender) called "Moose's down under", which I highly recommend for breakfast and lunch.

for local restaurant reviews, http://www.dinehere.ca/ has the most Vancouver reviews (by a long shot).

Across the street from the Pan Pacific is the Waterfront Centre which has a food court with a Tim Horton's, McDonald's, Ricky's Urban Diner and Starbucks. If you want to walk up Howe St. a block and a half there is Scoozis which has long been a fave of the downtown business community.

If I were you I'd take a taxi or have a quick walk over to Cafe Medina for breakfast. It's AMAZING and you won't regret it. Just take a look at their menu! They are usually pretty quick there too, and it's just a quick jaunt down to historic Gastown from there to start your sightseeing.

Scoozi's is excellent for breakfast!! It's one block up the street from Canada Place on Howe Street. We lucked onto it last September when we stayed at the Hotel Above Terminal City Club on Hastings near Howe. We didn't want to eat at the hotel, and we walked a half block down Hastings and spotted it. We had two of the best breakfasts we have EVER had there. It has a really good TripAdvisor rating, too, and it looks like lots of locals frequent the place.

Here's the link to Scoozi's breakfast menu.

We had to leave our hotel this May too early for breakfast, and we're so sorry we missed Scoozi's. You will love it! We want to go back next time for lunch or dinner (and breakfast, of course).
