POA balcony door ?

I will be going on the POA on Saturday and I was wondering if someone could tell me if the POA balcony doors are sliding doors that stay open on their own or if I need to bring something to keep the door open. I like to sleep with the door open :D.

Every time we have had a balconyon any cruise line the door stayed open with out a problem---unlessit was extremely rough. We always sleep with the slider open.

All the POAm doors I have had were of the sliding type....but I do know that the lanai doors on some the handicapped rooms were regular door type.

Thank you for your responses. Every cruise I have been on the balcony doors have been sliding doors. I just wanted to make sure because if not I would bring bungee cords.

Our Balcony doors on POA were sliders and they did lock into position (open or closed), however, when they were open, magnetic reed switches in the door frames caused the air conditioning to turn off.

 

One would NOT want to bypass these switches by bringing small magnets and taping them to the door frame to defeat the system........
