  1. We went on the NS to Norway and I would say the entertainment was REALLY light. The only show was a comedian. And he was HORRIBLE. We spend most evenings in our cabin or on balcony because we aren't interested in listening to bands play.
  2. Yes MDR is open for embarkation lunch, but if you ask crew they will tell you no.
  3. You are welcome. I know I liked to know what things are going to look like before I order it.
  4. Still working on our review of our first trip on HAL, but wanted to share a link to pictures of MDR menus and food here. I know food is subjective, but we really enjoyed most of our meals.
  5. Can I ask why you felt HAL was the worst?
  6. Just got off the NS on Sunday and the only time it felt crowded to us when we were in the Lido Market. We never went there for breakfast, but it did not seem to matter what time it was in the afternoon it was always cramped. My group felt it was way too small and the aisle ways were not nearly big enough.
  7. I had know idea that I could get a discount on the premium plan until I saw your post. Thank you. I went in and bought it now. I was going to buy it anyone but now I saved a couple $$.
  8. Thank you so much. We are really excited to try HAL and for our first visit to Europe.
  9. For those of you that say you prefer PG for lunch than dinner, can I ask why? TIA
  10. I have cruised out of Seattle 3 times and all 3 times I could feel myself starting to get sick. With my first trip to Alaska on Princess, it was really bad the first couple of days. I remember sitting in the MDR and seeing my plate get closer to my face and then go back down, and then come back up again. Then when we got off in port, I remember still swaying on land. Cruising out of Seattle is the only time I have felt sea sick on any cruise. If you are prone to getting sea sick, I would suggest taking something before hand.
  11. Thanks for letting us know. We will be there in 2 weeks and will have to check it out.
  12. Yes, I guess I would be the person that would say something to the person as well as to the staff. And I would also be the one standing there telling people "don't eat that or that because that person over there did something nasty to it" until the staff removed such item. I don't know that me saying something to the person will change their habits, but I would still feel the need to say something.
