Funchal shuttle

Is P&O running a shuttle bus from the port to Funchal town centre this season. Or is it a choice between a local bus? or taxi.

 

I like to plan my days in port months in advance :)

Its not far to walk in unless you have difficulties in this respect.

No idea but it is free. Last time they had one for wheelchairs and scooters as well. Walking about 10-15 mins.

More like 35-40 minutes to the cable car for my little legs :D

 

As I have done a island tour before I hope, weather permitting, to take the cable car up to the tropical gardens and spend a couple of hours there. After taking the cable car back I will have a wander around the town and probably walk back to Ventura.

 

To maximise the time available it will probably be best to get the shuttle although there might be a delay with 3000 pasengers in a mad stampede for the shops :)
