Whats your favorite thing to do on a cruise ship?

Rising early and going up to the Lido deck....grab a cup of coffee and take out my wooden indian flute and play as the sun comes up, serenading the sunrise.

What a great idea - stargazing. Never thought to do this. I will have to do this on my next cruise.

It's absolutely a must do! We always went after leaving the disco. Since they turn off the lights on the forward decks it's pitch black but very windy. It's amazing what you can see in the sky.

Couldn't agree more! Had to tell DH we had to take a cruise vacation so his work couldn't call him...every 5 minutes...it's so peaceful and it really is a break away from EVERYTHING!

 

I love this also. My best friend works hard all the time and people from work always call him when we take land vacations to try and solve problems they are having so it's great to turn the phones for a week.

Sporting clays with LIDO buffet plates on the aft of the ship.

 

Stealing armfuls of towels from the steward carts and placing them on random deck chairs.

 

Trying to get my "moon" in every family photo attempt.

 

Throwing plastic stuff overboard.

 

Shaving in the LIDO hot tub.

 

Honking my air horn every time I flush the toilet.

 

Fishing from my balcony. Cleaning my catch on the balcony. Leftovers in the hallway.

 

Turning off the water on the slide when people are on it.

 

Pushing all the buttons on the elevator and getting off.

 

Licking the ice cream cones and putting them back in the dispenser.

 

Playing with the remote on the Seaside Theater screen.

 

Turning off the buffet warmers.

 

Leaving my balcony light on.

 

Smoking. Everywhere. Often.

 

Letting my service dog eat from the MDR table and drink from the water dispenser in the buffet.

 

Dialing random room numbers at 3am.

I enjoy all the pampering, having no obligation, family time around the dining table or the pool, seeing new places, taking photos, the ship and ocean, actually the only thing I don't enjoy about a cruise is getting off!

 

I couldn't have said it better myself!

 

Not having to cook, clean or work for a week is a blessing! Carnival makes sure that it's cruisers are taken care of which is why so many of us come back for more!

 

And yes, I do like RCCL too, but don't like their prices as much!

watching my kids gobble up the entire experience...ports...shows..snorkel..tour....deck parties....order great foods...MUTS....taking family portraits....the list is never ending because we love everything and every single minute that we are on a cruise!!!:D

I love nothing more than finding a quiet place on the deck (if possible) and just watching the ocean during the day, as well as going out late at night, lounging in a chair, listening to the ocean and looking at the stars. The ocean is so relaxing for me, which is the main reason I love cruising so much. :)

Not having to hear one question asked for 8 days straight...."What's for dinner?" with the variation of "When's dinner?"

 

My most exciting moment for this year, to play scrabble with my daughter while watching the waves.

I love it all.

We do a lot of people watching.

I love going to the different lounges in the evenings enjoying all the entertainment, sitting on the balcony having a drink, enjoying the activities on Lido deck, napping with my balcony door opened, Yep we do open our door, no cooking, and all my food paid for already, visiting different places, I just love it all!

What is your favorite thing to do on a cruise ship? I like to spend quality time with my hubby...casino slot machines...staying up all hours of the night enjoying DOD's.....well i guess there is way more than just one thing

Wake up early, going out on deck , not many people , trying to shake the too many cocktails from the day before, watching the sun come up , drinking a couple cups of coffee .. then bringing a cup for the wife as she wakes.

Laying out on the lido , enjoying the sun, cocktails and music

3:00pm naps

Sushi and cocktails for happy hour

815 off to dinner

Hit the comedy club , karaoke, piano bar, walk around

1:00 am walk the wife to the room, kiss her goodnight

115 am massive black jack , night cap and sleep

Then repeat

Booking a room, staying in the cheapest cat available, not drinking , or spending money

Getting nice seats and judging others: Their clothes, smoking where they should not be, chair hogging, excessive drinking.

Remembering the good old days of cruising, when there were two classes of people , my class and no class!

Then going back to my room and getting all my laundry washed for free and maybe have a sip of my box of wine

I love the beginning of the cruise....from the first step on board it all seems magical. Seeing your cabin for the first time......walking the ship for the first time....the ship slowly leaving the port and heading out to sea.....the first supper in the dining room....the first evening of activities......and best of all knowing that the entire cruise is still in front of you.

Yup, doing NADA is why we cruise. We DO alot of things while NOT on vacation.

 

Cruising without phones, computers, work, family, neighbors, talking, driving, etc is where it's at.....ESCAPE from doing stuff....

 

Read here about other cruisers who plan to do a million things while cruising.......we'd be more exhausted than what we were before cruise departure ! Yikes !

Just relaxing on my balcony or really any deck while enjoying the ocean breezes, listening to the waves, watching the sunrises and sunsets. I like people watching without judging what they are doing or saying.

Well it is impossible for me to just list one single activity. :rolleyes:

 

I love spending quality time with my fiancé, son & family first off. My fiancé works 6 days a week doing third shift plus I'm in nursing school so it's tough for us to spend a lot of time together as a family.

 

I also really enjoy playing bingo & Cash Craze pull tabs. I love Miami Vice's and enjoy drinking them and daze off into the horizon. I love to travel so I enjoy visiting multiple new destinations on each cruise I take. I love how easy cruising is.. I don't have to worry about hotel stays, what we are gonna do & see, where we are gonna eat, how are we gonna get around & such.

 

Mostly.. I love having a week where I dont have to cook, clean or study. Super relaxing! :D
