Zumba on Celebrity?

Does anyone know if they have Zumba classes on Celebrity ships? We are on Silhouette next year and I am hoping I can carry on with my favourite exercise class to counteract the eating!!!

was on Solstice in Feb, no zumba at that time, wife was NOT happy about that.

I noticed from browsing some recent Equinox dailies that they did have zumba but it was the 'poolside free-for-all' rather than the gym class and despite searching I couldn't find any further info on it, so I'd be interested to hear too!

My wife really enjoys Zumba and would really like to have a real Zumba class on our upcoming Oct Equinox cruise. Are you listening Celebrity?:)

I mentioned the possibility of having Zumba classes onboard while we were on the Elcipse in January. I was told to write to Dan Hanrahan, which I did. I received a response via a phone call. I was told that they would pass on my request to the "correct department."

We'll see...

 

One of the glitches---a "Zumba-certified" person has to teach Zumba. Celebrity could be in real trouble with Beto Perez if they used his copyrighted idea without permission. But it would not be that difficult for one of the activities staff to become certified.

 

There was an active thread on this topic in December/January.

 

I am boarding the Silhoutte in July for the inaugural voyage. So we will see... and hope. It's such a fun way to exercise.

 

Write a lot of letters to Dan Hanrahan. Maybe they will listen if they know there is a demand.

Princess just rolled it out fleet wide, so definitely request it on Celebrity

We are on the Silhouette Jan. 2012 and that would be great if they could

do Zumba as it is the best exercise there is. They certainly could get certified instructors, so many are here in the states, if they were offered a free cruise I know my Zumba teacher would go, I think she's going on Norwegian the fall of 2012.:D
