Latitudes Beach Cafe -- Sunset Key

Can anyone tell me if you have to be a guest at the Hilton Sunset Key Resort to take the ferry over for lunch or dinner at Latitudes? How pricey is it for dinner?

Is there a cost for the ferry?

Reservations and complimentary boat pass required through Hilton concierge. See the menu. Attire is "country club casual" and it is pricey.

I don't think it is worth the price. You can't really wonder around Sunset Key.

 

 

I would rather eat at Louis Backyard or Alices La Te Da (she's across the street).

 

Blue Heaven is fantastic.

We have dined at Latittudes twice in the last 2 years or so and find it to be rather mediocre. There are far better restaurants in Key West for less money and much less attitude.

I second blueheron's suggestions. They are all great places. Appondonzza's is really good. Micheals is wonderful and Square 1 in Duval square is also great.

Just had dinner last night at Hot Tin Roof last night for the first time. It was really good and a beautiful place....sit on the porch overlooking the sunset. Its comparably priced to Lattitudes and IMHO much better.

Lattitudes wasn't worth the money. The food was o.k., but nothing that warranted the price. I guess we were paying for the atmosphere. We were seated at a table outside and even with torches all around, it was so dark the waitress gave us flashlights to read the menu. Once the food came, you could barely see while you ate. Don't bother.
