bcnvcanada Posted June 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Help we need directions from the dock(note we are tendering in) to Disneyland Hong Kong. We will be in Hk 14 hours in November on the Diamond Princess and yes we will be tendering in. Please to give us directions. Thank you
Rare babs135 Posted June 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Are you sure the Diamond Princess isn't berthing rather than tendering? When we did Hong Kong on the Diamond in March we berthed at the cargo terminal. Anyway, if this is where you are going, taxis are not allowed on the quay so you will have to take the ship's shuttle into the city centre. There is a direct MTR (underground/subway) line to Disneyland. Not sure of the price but it won't break the bank.
kuldalai Posted June 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2011 By far the easiest way to get there is by inexpensive MTR train . Depending on where your ship docks from the nearest MTR station take the MTR to SUNNY BAY station which is nearly at the end of the line to Teng Chung. Note you may have to interchange en-route to get onto the Teng Chung line . When you get to Sunny Bay station just walk across the platform and the connecting train to Disneyland will be waiting on the other side. Hong Kong MTR map is here : http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/train/system_map.html
bcnvcanada Posted June 28, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted June 28, 2011 We were suprised to see that the Diamond would be tendering on this port. No one can really tell us why. moet's sister Posted July 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2011 We were suprised to see that the Diamond would be tendering on this port. No one can really tell us why. THANKS FOR THE LINK TO THE TRANSIT. PRINTED OUT WHAT I NEEDED. THANKS. To purchase train tickets you will need coins, if you need to change money, the best place to do it is at the info counter. If you ask them how to get to Disneyland, they will give you a map and show you how to get there, even in broken english, we found them to be helpful. Word of warning, the food at Disneyland seems to have gotten worse. I was unable to finish it, so bring your own, but the Mickey Waffle was fantastic. Also, before watching the parade, I would advise staking a larger area along the gutter because you may get crushed. ENJOY!!
