St. Maarten Taxi

Even though when we were in St Martin last year, we went to Orient then to Maho...there were plenty of taxi's waiting to take you just about anywhere you wanted to go. They know when the cruise ships come in and that's how they make their living and they are waiting on you.

Coming back, there were taxi's at Maho every so often. However, you can go to the bar right there at the beach and they will call for a taxi for you when you are ready to leave. Just be aware that usually everyone seemed to want to leave around the same time (2-2:30) to get back to the ship and they were all waiting around for taxi's as well.

Thanks Mitsugirly!

My main concern was getting the ride back. Any idea on fares to Maho? Im just comparing taxis over rental. Rental is a mild hassle of the 30 min or so going thru rental process...both have their advantages.
