Port Hole Cabins on the Inspiration

Are the port hole cabins on the Inspiration the same size as other Interior Cabins? Would they include two twins and a sofa?

The pictures don't look that inviting but it has a great price. I'm just looking for something cheap to feed my addition. You know a quick fix.

Thanks!

THANK YOU.. I must have been confused. I've looked at some many different cabins tonight. So the port hole cabins only hold two people. They must have come up when I was looking to see what it would be for my sister and nephew..

So now if you are still around I have another question. Seem like tonight while I was looking the Past Guest rate has disappeared. So I'm looking at early saver rates. Now my parent each have a 25% off voucher. I wonder if we can even use those with early saver rates? But If I were to book two cabins spliting my parents between the two.. Do you think I could put them back together once on board after booking early saver rates?? My plan is to take my parents on the cruise.. but if my sister wants to go, it would be good to take advantage of the 25% off. I've read enough on CC to know that with Early Saver there is no name changes, but does that still apply once on board?

Hopefully the ship doesn't fill up while I'm trying to figure all this out!!

I might be reading you wrong, but the 25% off, only applies to one fare. So there would be no reason to split up your parents, as each get 25% off only their own fare.

I had E9 port hole cabin on Ecstasy, which I liked, though the docking noises and such were noisy.

There are some PTs that hold more than 2, but not on Fantasy class, so in answer they only hold 2 on Fantasy class. I love PTs as you can see out for the price of a inside, and can get them for the same price on all 4 decks.

Yes, you can use the 25% off with ES. Carnival does not care where your parents sleep. Their sign and sail cards are tied to their credit cards, not to the cabin. If they want card keys to get into a different cabin, just ask at the pursers desk. .. though its unclear why you want to split up your parents. I might have missed the logic there.

Check out PT cabins m-11 and m-14...quite a bit larger than a normal cabin. I would books these in a heartbeat on this class ship. These were great cabins on the Elation...so much so, I booked m-14 the 1st time, m-11 the 2nd. No couch, but about an extra 5 feet deep. Enjoy.

I was assuming the 25% off would apply to anyone they brought with them. I will have to call to clarify that. Cause you are right, if everyone in the cabin doesn't get the discount it would make no sense.

THANKS.

We loved our porthole cabin last cruise so much so that we booked another one for the next cruise. Our friends had R31, which was smaller than our M14.

There is no sofa, just a chair with a small desk area. The steward can either put the beds together for a queen bed, or leave them seperated. Plenty of closet space. Now one thing our friends had that we didn't was the sound of the ocean at night. So on our next cruise we did book the Riviera deck. Since you can't open windows on the ship, I just love having a less expensive cabin with natural light coming in. And the lower you are on a ship the easier it is to get on an elevator:D

I have a 20% off from missing two ports, and was thinking yours was like that.. maybe not?? Mine is for my fare only. the only way to get 20% off the whole cabin is to cruise solo.

We were just on the Inspiration last month and had 2 PT rooms on the Riviera Deck. We normally get a balcony but for the price and it being a short getaway, it was great. The PT windows are really big and there is a huge ledge that makes the room appear larger than even the rooms that had a regular window. Here are a few pics to show the room. We would book a PT cabin for a short cruise again for sure. Having no couch was fine but we didn't like no fridge in the room, but again, for the price, it was fine.

Our E7 on the Inspiration was FABULOUS!! I liked being higher, and we were close enough to the elevators, yet never heard a thing. Jerry was our room steward, and he was like a ghost!

This room was a bit longer than others, and Mom and I much preferred the "L" configuration of the beds..it gave us a TON of room. We had two chairs, no sofa.

Thanks for the photo, This is the cabin "E7" we have booked on the Inspiration for 1/23/2012. Was hoping for a couch as the deck plans show it longer than the regular OV cabins. Oh well, I guess we'll see how we like the natural light.

Did you hear any noise from the showroom on the deck above you?

We have E8 booked for our 5 night Ecstasy cruise in January. It looks like a huge cabin compared to some of the other PT's. We have never tried this category before & have had some less than great experiences being far forward, BUT for the price (239pp) we had to give it a try:)

We are a little worried about noise from the theater above us too, I figure even if we hear some noise at least it won't be in the middle of the night!

Yes it does, does't it? I think I found actual pics of it at cruiselinerooms before i booked it, may have been E7 & not E8 but its the same I think, just on starboard side.

We're going on a 4 nighter then coming back and going on a 7 nighter on libert. Liberty, we took a balcony, but we didn't really want to spend the $ on a suite on Imagination for just 4 nights, so went with the PT. For the price you can't beat it, $189pp!

Its tough to tell how close to scale deckplans are, but I have spoken to several people who have had similar cabins and said they were a good 5 or 6 feet 'deeper' than those down the hall. Enjoy!

You enjoy as well! What great plans you have! We are taking 15 nights in fl the last half of Jan & this cruise was actually my way of keeping the costs down!! Disney is so expensive, even when done on a budget:)

We are in a port hole cabin (U18) on Inspiration (5 night) in October 2011 for the same price. Great isn't it? We have always cruised in Oceanview, but thought we would try a PT because of the great price. :D

Thanks for all the info! This will be a great option if my sister and nephew want to tag along! Now I just need to find out about the 25% off (it's a casino offer). I will call them this weekend.

Thanks.

Yes it is so GREAT! Makes every other fare I'm paying seem like highway robbery:eek: lol Seriously though, for this price I just couldn't go wrong AND we get to go to HMC, which will be a first for us & we will be there on the actual day of our anniversary!:D

Never heard a thing except for the side thrusters as we docked in port...it sounded like a car wash as the wands spray the side of the car, and it was loud!!

There was plenty of room in this cabin. If you have it set up as a double, see if the steward will place the bed underneath the portholes for you to make it less awkward..otherwise, I much prefer the L configuration for the beds.

OH..No hairdryer..remember to bring your own!! Fantasy class ships don't have them...No fridge either.
