beachbum6264 Posted July 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I'm not a Vodka drinker (tequila girl here!), but I want to order a bottle from BV for my dh... which one? Here are the choices: Absolute Citron, Stoli , Skye and Finlandia $40 Which would you pick, and why?? Thanks!!!
Elmer McCurdy Posted July 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Probably Stoli, especially if I can get it in Razz, but if not, still Stoli. I prefer the taste of it to Skye and Finlandia, and Citron isn't my bag. Is DH a mixer, or does he drink it straight up?
KruznKel Posted July 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I'm not a Vodka drinker (tequila girl here!), but I want to order a bottle from BV for my dh... which one? Here are the choices: Absolute Citron, Stoli , Skye and Finlandia $40 Which would you pick, and why?? Thanks!!! Personally I dont have a choice.. but if you are buying it for him and he is a Vodka drinker I would find out his favourite kind before hand.. as I do know many vodka drinkers that have their preference....;)
nanuak Posted July 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I order plain Absolut from BV
NYRsHOCKEY Posted July 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2011 They also have Ketel One available through BV, which is my vodka of choice.
beachbum6264 Posted July 8, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted July 8, 2011 He usually mixes, and really doesn't have a fav - he's cheap and buys whatever is the cheapest! I wanted to get him a good bottle for this trip. I know he'll like whatever is in his glass :D Just wanted to get him the best!
shamrock58 Posted July 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Stoli or Skye. Absolute is good but not when it is flavored. Better sticking to plain old fashioned vodka.
DEBnGAB Posted July 8, 2011 #8 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Stoli
imlulu Posted July 8, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 8, 2011 They all cost $40?? The Skye is cheapest kind when ordering from Bar. I had a cranberry and vodka. I got the Skye. It was cheapest. Drink cost $4.95. Best deal on drinks the whole trip..:)
janm8144 Posted July 8, 2011 #10 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I get Absolut non flavored from Bon voyage. I drink vodka & tonic.
babyher Posted July 8, 2011 #11 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I had gone through a vodka phase a few years ago, and I really like Stoli.
cruisenanny Posted July 8, 2011 #12 Share Posted July 8, 2011 My pick of that bunch would be Stoli, but if you want to get him the best they have onboard, I suggest the Grey Goose. We think THE best vodka is Belvidere, but I dont think Carnival sells that.
bitemyfly Posted July 8, 2011 #13 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Since he is mixing I would go with absolute. If he like straight with perhaps some olives My preference would be Grey goose Belvedere Kettle one Cheers
tandemcruzr Posted July 8, 2011 #14 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I order plain Absolut from BV Ditto. It mixes well and it makes a very good martini - very dry, up and shaken not stirred. :D
elcuchio24 Posted July 8, 2011 #15 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Stoli would be the best out of those options, as long as it isn't flavored:(
jhale Posted July 8, 2011 #16 Share Posted July 8, 2011 If you want the best do Kettle One or Grey Goose, they are $60 through Bon Voyage.
pamurchu Posted July 8, 2011 #17 Share Posted July 8, 2011 I suggest the blue bottle--Skye. But I do agree with another above poster. Watch and see what he drinks--or ask him. I do not think you could go wrong with any of those brands.
missesmamax3 Posted July 8, 2011 #18 Share Posted July 8, 2011 DF is a grey goose kinda guy :)
debee1015 Posted July 8, 2011 #19 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Grey Goose, Belvedere, Ketel One or Skyy. Or just get some Rum Runners..... I didn't say that!
tulman Posted July 8, 2011 #20 Share Posted July 8, 2011 As others have said they are all good...stay away from the flavored, hence Citron. Stoli is more expensive of those listing in my store and while I'm a tequila drinker also, I can do Stoli up with no problems. Add to this, I don't care for BV's tequila choices. IMO. Cruzin2paradise09 Posted July 8, 2011 #21 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Grey Goose if someone else is buying ;) But, Skye is my next choice, if I'm buying! :D
