Best time to cruise Western Mediterranian

Can anyone tell me the best time of year to cruise the Western Mediterranian. I'm looking at RT out of Barcelona and would like mild temps as I am not a fan of cold weather. Thanks in advance.

We had a great trip at the end of May--comfortable in Barca and at sea, not blisteringly hot in Italy, a bit ahead of peak tourism crowds. ymmv.

 

I'd have to guess that the best time is whenever you can get a week free, though!

We cruised there this past mid-April and the weather was high 60's, low 70's. It was perfect touring weather!

We once cruised from May 15 till May 22nd and weather was perfect - 70-75F every day, plus kids were still in school, so we had bout 20 kids under 18 total. Nights were a bit on a cooler side, around 58-60F

I would say to go before June starts or in September.

We did this cruise 19th June and it was too hot for comfortable touring and very crowded everywhere.

Late September or October is great. School is in session in Europe, as well as in the U.S. so you won't have a ton of children on board. The temps are lovely that time of year and there won't a be lot of land tourists at that time so seeing sites is more pleasant.

We went early May and like others have said, the weather was perfect. Also the cruise fare and airfare are less expensive in May since it is considered "off season". Enjoy it whenever you go, it is a fantastic cruise :)
