Hi, I am just curious about something. I recently completed a cruise on the Triumph. We are usually given comment cards on the last night to fill out. We didnt this trip. Is that isolated or the new practice? Or since we went platnium is that what made the change?

They now do electronic comment cards(sent to your email after the cruise). Per John Heald, they only send them to 40% of pax each cruise. I've been on at least 2 cruises since this started and I'm yet to receive one....

Along this line, are there cards for passengers to fill out for crew members who have done an exceptional job or out of the ordinary for someone while on board so that the crew member will get some kind of recognition?

No, that's what the old comment cards did. If you don't receive an ecomment card, but want to let management know about great employees, send an email to Carnival or tell John Heald on his blog. He seems to pass the info to the beards so these employees can get recognized.

I've been on at least 2 cruises since this started and I'm yet to receive one....

Don't feel bad. I've been on 4 since they started, and no one in my family (2 cabins, 4 different e-mail addresses on funpasses) have gotten one!

We got the e-mail one after our last cruise. It was so generic that I didn't feel it was worth it. Questions like "Did we meet your expectations?" Yes or No? Nothing like the old comment cards. It was almost like there was little way of telling them how to improve on anything or to comment on superior service from a crew member.

I would be surprised if 10% get the elec tronic comment card based on our experience and reading on here.

 

Made it much harder to single out crew for praise.
