travellingnana Posted July 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2011 To those of you who have done this...do I really need to buy tickets for this show beforehand, or will I be able to walk up and get tickets the day of the show. We'll be in Ketchikan in August. Thanks for the help.

uncleah Posted July 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Ditto on just walk up. It's nothing great but was fun for a break.
Putterdude Posted July 18, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Unless something unusual happens you should have no trouble getting walk-up tickets....a bit touristy but many like it.
travellingnana Posted July 18, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Many thanks. It's one of those "if we have time we'll do it things"...and I didn't want to have to plan around it.
dcruisers Posted July 18, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2011 ..We booked the Totem Pole and Lumberjack show thru Princess. Are both the Totem Pole Park and Lumberjack show within walking? If so, we may canx and just do it on our own. Thanks!

PennyAgain Posted July 18, 2011 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2011 You can walk over to the Lumberjack show and decide if it appeals to you. It is corny. Some folks like it.

There are at least totem parks in Ketchikan, the Totem Heritage Center is walkable, Totem Bight and Saxman Village are not...but can be accessed by municipal transit. RoupMom Posted July 19, 2011 #11 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Definitely walk up, and our grandsons (6 and 4) loved it last year and still talk about it.

Good point, I can see how youngsters would enjoy this. For those of us who know the difference between logger sports and showmanship....well what can I say...it's entertainment.
