Summit Dining room/embarkation day

It's been a while since we sailed Celebrity.

Will we be allowed to have lunch on embarkation day in the dining room?

We prefer to have just about all our meals in the dining room. Our kids are 7 and 3 now. They are well behaved in restaurants and we find the hustle and bustle of the buffet can get them going.

It's also a great way to have portion control. At the buffet, I turn into a goldfish. I'll eat until I explode, LOL.

On Celebrity there is no lunch in the dining room on embarkation day, nor on port days for that matter. You can choose from the buffet, the Aqua Spa (open on most embarkation days, although they may not tell you this as you board), Bistro on 5 (for those ships which have this venue) or the grill at the pool area. Suggest you head for Aqua Spa and if it is open, have lunch there. Healthier options, with smaller portions than the buffet.

Hi, nope. The main dining room is not opened for lunch on embarkation

day.

Try the Aqua Spa Cafe for a change from the regular buffet.

They serve healthier (but still delicious:D) items. Not sure if your

kids enjoy cheese and/or fruit? But they have a feta/watermelon

dish that is wonderful. It looks like a checkerboard!:)

Thanks for the info,

We've recently taken several cruises with another line and loved starting the cruise with a relaxing lunch and ending with a relaxing breakfast in the MDR.

I think we had all but one of 21 meals on our last cruise in the MDR.

I got a hold of a Summit daily from last month and got a pretty good idea from that.
