On the 2014 poker cruise out of NoLa I gambled with someone that was sitting down with $10k at the black jack table each night. He got it up to $56k one night but was about even for the trip.

Something tells me they broke out the purple chips (or even yellow?) for him. On 60+ Carnival cruises I've been on, I've only seen purple chips in the tray 2-3 times... whereas on every sailing on Celebrity, NCL, and Royal Caribbean they've got them in the trays. Now as to how often they're put into play, that's anybody's guess !!

 

On the ONE occasion I've ever bet a yellow chip (Blackjack) it was on Celebrity - I just wanted a "simple" win. What I got was a split and a double, and ended up losing THREE of those chips in a single play. That'll take the wind out of your sails! :eek:

On the Breeze this past week, I won $230 on a 0.75 cent bet on a penny slot machine on the 2nd day. The last night, I won $145 on a 0.90 cent bet on a different penny slot machine. Sadly, I only came back with $119 of it ( kept playing the rest).

 

My mother , who was traveling with me, won $336 bet on a $3.00 on a penny slot machine on the last night.

 

Not huge winnings, but we were very happy!
