Back to back on Allure

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been asked a million times on here but I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how a back to back works. (meaning what happens when the first week ends) how do we get our new cards? do we have to get off the ship? Has anyone done this on the allure before that can give my family any tips.

I have not done a back to back. But I have read on several threads about how it works. A few days prior to your first week ending; all the passengers who will be sailing the back to back will meet onboard the ship. You will be given instructions about what to do on day seven; ie, where to go, how to clear customs, where to get you new seapass; what will happen to your luggage; all this will be given to you in a briefing. You will have to get off the ship to clear customs; but you will all go in one group, and get back on the ship. they will have a special section for you to hang out in, until they start the normal embarkation for the second week. Hope this helps.

A zillion times!!!!!!

That was very rude. If you don't want to answer the poster's question, just skip the thread.

Here goes, from a thread in January:

Do you have to actually leave the ship or do you go to a lounge or other location to process through? (like an extra day on the ship!) Do they assign someone to you?

We were on a B2B on Oasis in Oct.

We had someone guide us off the ship to a seated area in the terminal, to wait for the ship to be cleared and then just walked back on with the guide. It was not long, the walk took longer than the wait.

We are in the same cabin both weeks, but I hear they will have someone help you move your stuff if you have different cabins. Is that correct?
\Yes, if you change cabins they will help you move.

Do you have full access to your cabin during that morning/day or do you have to wait until they open them up for everyone?
we had a sticker on our sea pass or a card?, can't remember, to show if questioned and we had access to our cabin, no problem to go in and out the closed hallway door before 1 PM.

I figured out on the website for the online check-in to select "Consecutive Cruiser" on the Departure info of the 1st leg and Arrival info of the 2nd leg.
yes, they also send you a card forfo your departure near the end of the first leg for flight times etc. and put down Consecutive Cruise and they know to give you the info to meet the guide to depart etc.

Can you roll over unused bottles of a wine package from the 1st leg to the 2nd? This would be most economical for us as we are big wine drinkers and like to do different level packages (she does Diamond but I only need the Gold). Buying the larger packages would be cheaper per bottle.
I don't know about that. Maybe someone else can answer for you.

Each cruise is separate and you need to pay the bill etc. at the end of the first one. We had a problem once when they said they would carry a credit over, but it was a problem. We settle up at the end of each.

Do you get your purchased bottles of liquor back and the end of the 1st leg when everyone else does, or have they figured out this loophole?
No, they keep them I understand until the end. They figured it out....... Only what I have read.

Thanks! Welcome, have a fun cruise!!!:)

We left the ship for about 45 min or so. There were about 175(I think that is how many) doing B2B. Someone from guest services escorted us. You will meet in a predetermined area on the last morning. There is also a meeting the day day before and they go over all kinds of stuff. You can also book shows, specialty restaurants, etc.

Yes if need be they will move everything for you.

You have access. If there is someone "guarding" the hallway door just let them know you are consecutive cruisers.

Did not purchase any but....if you want a few bottles you can have someone else buy them for you and just get it from them.

It's important to give information that is specific to a ship or port. General instructions are not going to help the OP.

That's the reason that I found a thread about the OASIS, with accounts from people who have actually done this, and didn't just report "what I've heard/read."

:)

I am sorry if I got something wrong or confused someone with my comments. I took several posts from other threads and combined them together with my own words. Again, sorry if someone got confused. Thanks
