Cave Tubing and Bats ???

Can anyone tell me if they had experienced any issues with bats when they were Cave Tubing? We really want to do this, but we do have someone in our group that will not be happy if there are bats to be seen or heard. Thanks!

actually we seen bats on ALL 3 of our trips Cave Tubing in Belize. In one of the dry caves we walked through I almost had me fly into me! In the water caves I always seen them inside but never had any close encounters with them flying at us.

Its really not all that bad lol. My wife is clausterfobic and has a fear of bats...yet she has gone 3 times now lol.

We just returned and didn't see any bats. Our daughter wanted to see them - we looked, but no sightings. I'd definately say do the cavetubing!

We just returned and did see bats sleeping. None were flying-it wasn't a problem at all.

My 7 yr old DD is refusing to go cave tubing with us due to this issue..... :(

We are thinking to do cave tubing, but my husband has lower back and neck pains in the past; Wondering 1. is tub comfortable for the hour trip ? 2. could the tubing cause problems for his back of neck? Thanks.

There is a company that someone recently posted about. Their tubes are newer and they are the only company that I've read about that actually have a built in "pillow" for you head to rest on while you are tubing. VIV tours. Look them up.

The ride is very calm (not whitewater at all), but he will be seated for a long time at an odd angle holding his head up. Neck/back pains are possible. If you see whitewater don't get in the water. A potentially crowded cave and fast water = danger
