Alarm Clocks?

We will be sailing on the Grand on 4/2. It's been a few years since we last cruised and couldn't remember if the staterooms had alarm clocks or not.:confused: Thank you for your advice.

There are no clocks in the room. You can get a wake up call.

On the Princess ships that I have sailed there is no alarm clock. We ususally bring our own little travel clock.

I bring a battery operated travel clock, electrical outlets are at a premium too.

I just use the automated wake-up call system via the phone. One less thing to pack and bring.

I bring a cheap battery operated hands clock from Wal-Mart and put it near the TV. It is very helpful to know what time it is because there is so much to do on board and so little time.

The automated system through the phone is easy to set and when the phone rings it is time to wake up!

 

Another good alarm clock, if you don't have to rush off early for a shore excursion, is to order room service the night before from the card in your cabin and tell them the time you want it.

I'm sorry if I sound ignorant, but what do you mean by saying that electrical outlets are at a premium? Are there very few in the room? Is it like a parking meter, Do you have to put a quarter in to get 10 minutes?!;)

The Wakeup call service works . . . much of the time.

 

We bring a travel alarm clock, and a 3 plug adaptor to have enough outlets for stuff.

JB-most staterooms have a limited number of outlets so some people bring a power strip with 6 outlets.

 

As far as alarm clock, I just use my watch or cell phone.

Gee. I found that I woke up early every morning in Alaska. I never did adjust to the 4 hour time difference. By 9 PM I was bushed and by 5 AM I was wide awake. :)

no alarm clock on the ship. But why would you want one for a vacation? Even if it's the port of a lifetime...if I am sleepy on my vacation...I sleep. Alarm clocks are for when we have to get up, even when we don't want to!

This will probably sound really silly! Seeing as I get inside cabins alot, I have a small clock that also does waves, crickets, and some other sound! It is really small, uses batteries, I like it!
