Silhouette - Cape Liberty Departure

Hi,

New to cruising. Just booked Silhouette out of Cape Liberty in February and wondering if anyone knows how the ship will leave dock/harbor. Feet first or Face first?

 

OH and we are so psyched to be sailing in mid winter!!!!! and NOT flying!!!!

We were at the Statue of Liberty recently and from there you get a great view of the Bayonne port. We also took the Explorer of the Sea from there a few years ago. We pulled out bow first and so did ship last week.

I think it will usually be bow first. Possible exceptions if they need to do some painting or other maintenance on the other side of ship. Or perhaps if ship is arriving later than schedule, she will pull right it to try to save a few minutes.

When we were on Summit, she was bow out. So, my recommendation is once you embark, head up to the Aqua Spa Cafe and grab a seat at one of the tables and enjoy the views of the Statue and Manhattan. The Cafe is up there on the Port side.
