izzypooch Posted August 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2011 Just got off the phone with a C&A representative wanting to give her a certificate number to apply to a sailing in November. I was concerned that I hadn't received the actual certificate yet and my final payment is due Sept 12th. She said they could still apply it after final payment and that they would just credit the amount back to my credit card if cruise had already been paid in full. Does that sound right? Has anyone else handled it this way? I was under the impression that after final payment my only option would be to have it applied as OBC, which would be okay I guess if I'd get any unused OBC back at the end of the cruise. Does anybody know how that works? Thanks for info.
Cruzaholic41 Posted August 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2011 Yes, it is correct. In fact, I just redeemed points for OBC on a cruise I paid off last month.
firefly333 Posted August 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2011 I put visa card points on my sept 3rd Oasis cruise. Im hoping there is no hurricane damage and I get to book excursions with it, as I dont believe you can get the money back if you dont spend it. Maybe there is a way to get it back thru the casino?? someone might have more info on if there is a way to get money off OBC if its unspent. Ramjet1997 Posted August 22, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2011 You can always go to the casino on the last night and pull off any remaining OBC - they will charge 3% to your account but it is still worth it.......
