I'm no longer on the island..I headed to my family home on Long Island, NY We were evacuated from my clients offices today in NYC.

 

Mother Nature is something to recon with, for sure.

 

Please continue to pray for those on the islands. They are going to be hit bad.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all in irenes path. we are sailing (lord willing) to freeport and nassau in 2 months. and hope to see it in all its beauty.

Would that evacuation due to the earthquake? I'm in VA and really felt it here. This is something - earthquakes/hurricanes.

 

Glad that you're safe from the hurricane. I'll be sure to keep those in the islands in my prayers. We spent several days in Paradise Island/Nassau last September and I really enjoyed the people there - they really made me feel at home.

Praying for everyone in the Bahamas and the USA that get hit by this monster hurricane.

 

I live in South Carolina and I have been watching this storm all week.

It looks like we won't get a direct hit but North Carolina might.

 

I can't wait for this Hurricane to be over.

No, it's not permanent. I'm returning Sept 1st.

Since my SO passed away last year, I split my time between nassau and my home on Long Island (NY) where my family is.

 

Best of both worlds.

Glad to help others enjoy the bahamas like I do.

Thanks, everything is lashed down, tomorrow we get evacuated (I live on a small island in the bay).. never a dull moment.

Luckily I returned to my chosen home (bahamas) on Thursday.. can't wait.
