Assateague Island Princes Posted February 22, 2012 #76 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Capt. Dan and Hope were wonderful to deal with, weren't they, Rockford? We went with them as well last August - first the whale watch with tons of bubblenet feeding and breaching, then I went on a bear search with them afterwards, again with great results. bobalink Posted August 17, 2012 #79 Share Posted August 17, 2012 Wow! The pictures you have all posted are amazing. I just have a point and shoot camera. We were in Alaska last week August 4-11, 2012. We saw lots of humpback whales bubble net feeding, orcas, bears and eagles. When we were there is August 2008 we hardly saw any wildlife. Taken at the Mendenhall Visitor Center. Glaciers Posted June 28, 2013 #92 Share Posted June 28, 2013 Out of Seward in May Ketchikan two weeks ago Eagle Beach north of Juneau two weeks ago. Not a good place to look for eagles, we only saw two but a very beautiful place if you get the chance to drive up. Certainly wouldn't do this over whale watching though...
