did i miss it or did anyone mention prices for a cab to the drury inn from the airport and then to the pier?

It was $30 from the airport to Drury. I'm not sure how much it is from Drury to the port (we had a ride from our roll call pick us up). :)

how many people for $30? We have 8 so not sure if we should do a van/limo or cabs

We had 3 people. I'm not sure if it's a flat rate for the van ride or per person. But I don't think that 8 people plus luggage would fit in the mini-van. Our 3 big sized luggage filled up the trunk. My husband was in the front seat, me and my daughter in the 2 middle to bucket seats and then there was 3 seats (a regular long seat) in the back of the one we were in.

 

I'm pretty sure I seen the bigger sized vans there as well but since there were only 3 of us, that's probably why they put us in the mini van.

We just got back from the Hilton Riverwalk.You can walk just 1 or 2 blocks to the port. It is directly across the street from Harrahs Casino and two/three blocks to canal street which is the begining of the French Quarter. I thought it was the perfect location and cant wait to stay there again!

Hilton Riverwalk is a great location, but can be pricey. Check various sites, though (AAA, expedia, ets) - rates can vary widely

We just booked the Renaissance near Riverwalk for $60 in January on priceline.
