DrFootball Posted September 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Walking sneakers or hiking boots(or low cut hikers)?? I am a diabetic with foot/leg Nerve issues and need comfortable support for my feet for a 4-5 hr day tour. I own: 2 pr of "Walking/Jogging Sneakers(1 New Balance & one Skechers) & one pr. of Hikers(Munsen trail masters-similar to LL Bean Hikers)I'm considering another purchase if need be. We'll be walking Beaches, as well as in towns & Hamilton. I would not wear any of my regular winter boots(Timberland, Viking, Danner, Chippewa(the Mtn. Boots that got me through active duty!), Hermans, Or Bean) :) Bill(DrFootball) "Learn to be Perfect with your Weapon and it will Save your life and the Lives of Others" U.S. Army Ranger Marksmanship Trainer-1981 Bill's Brainiac Random Quote Generator V0.95 final beta for Mac
njhorseman Posted September 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Wear whatever you're comfortable with when walking around town or on a beach at home. I wear my sneakers in town and sandals on the beach. A sidewalk is a sidewalk and sand is sand pretty much everywhere. ;)

He cannot wear his skechers anymore. His feet hurt too much. He works in automotive parts shipping and he wears these on concrete 8 hours and says they are wonderful. He had surgery in May for blocked arteries in both legs and has nerve problems in both feet.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2011 On the beach I would wear sandals. We find ecco shoes to be quite comfortable. Keith

I bring two pairs of New Balance
MCAT48 Posted September 19, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2011 It may be too hot for the average hiking boot for a 4-5 hour tour. I'd bring the sneakers if that's what you can wear although personally my feet hurt in anything but flipflops. =)
