From what I have seen and heard, the majority of the daytime games will be in the Sports Bar and cabins only and will be subject to where their feed is based out of, which I believe is mainly Miami now. The Sunday and Monday night games should be on the big screen.

Man, Oh Man, I sure don't want to miss the Packers game on Sun Sept 18th. 1pm eastern, anyone know if the ship televises somewhere on board????

That's so funny!!!!

You can TRY the 'Sports' Bar that is generally located forward of the Casino or the Casino Bar. But the last two Carribean cruises we've been on was on Carribean cable, so we were limited to ESPN deportes and Fox (Spanish) available in the sports bar only. Even the TNT in the cabin was TNT Latino...plus the reception is low def and is crap.

Set your DVR, it's likely you won't get a score update.

We sailed out of NOLA and couldn;t get the LSU game or the Saints game.

Our options were limited to Soccer and Tennis, forget it if your trying to catch a baseball game.

Here's the tv line up for caribbean cruises from JH~

We have made a few changes to our Caribbean TV line up and I thought that you should see what all the ships will be recieving:

ABC Miami, CBS Erie, NBC Miami and Fox Buffalo. Plus TNT, TCM, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, CNN and CNN Spanish, ESPN and ESPN2. Compared to every other line - this is the best TV line up by far. .........and sorry.....FOX news isnt part of it.

I also remember football being shown on the big screen~

I'm at work and they block facebook here but John wrote that of the 3 major stations (CBS, NBC, ABC) one is out of Miami, one is Erie PA and the other maybe Buffalo I think. Very random to say the least.

For some reason- there are 2 threads for this. Anyway- I was thinking that you may not be on board yet to see kickoff. But since you will still be in Baltimore- you can watch the game online (if you have computer access or a smart phone)...

But maybe the sports bar will have it playing...

Have fun on the Pride- she's a great ship! :)

They will have a FOX feed and CBS feed from somewhere.

Packers play Carolina this Sunday.

I think you are going to be SOL....

Nobody but a Packers fan would want to watch that one sided game.

I would imagine Chicago at New Orleans would be the nationally televised game at 1PM.

I'll be boarding the Legend Sunday and watching the Sunday Ticket on my I-Phone until we clear the mainland. (I'm hoping I get a verizon signal until 7-ish...)

Last week on facebook John Heald listed the new TV lineup for the cabins. I can't remember if FOX was available but I know they now have ESPN. So you could at least watch highlights.

Here's Carnival's line up for Caribbean sailings...

ABC Miami; CBS Erie; NBC Miami; Fox Buffalo; TNT; TCM; Cartoon Network; Boomerand, CNN and CNN Spanish; ESPN and ESPN 2...

Just looked and the Fox station from Buffalo is showing the Cowboys against the 49ers at 4:00 on 9/18. (Not a doubleheader week for Fox)

But if you had to miss a Packers game, this was a good one for you to miss. A likely blowout. An early season game that they could afford to lose, even though it's highly unlikely they will. And the Packers record is sure to be easily good enough to make the playoffs so one game isn't going to make much difference, except possibly for home field purposes.

The ship doesn't leave until 4:30, so I guess you could try and watch the first half in a bar near the port before boarding if you wanted. It will probably be a blowout by halftime so you'll know they won. But for a game like that it hardly seems worth the effort.

No FOX network...but don't worry, packers will lose ;)

Wrong twice. According to JH Fox - Buffalo is available, so you'll get an NFC East Coast game - maybe Washington/Arizona or Pittsburgh/Seattle. Carolina couldn't even beat the Cardinals in week one...The Pack will will by 20 against a rookie quarterback.

Since it is a Buffalo station- maybe they will air the Bills vs. Raiders.

Since the ship is docked in Baltimore- I would hope for safety's sake that they aren't going to have the Steelers up there on the screen. It could start a riot here in Ravens town...;)

Does anyone know when the roaming rates for cell/ipad begin? Is it sail away or do they have to get thru the bay channel and out into the ocean before blocking cell towers? I was hoping we could use an ipad/computer to watch the Ravens game @ 4pm that afternoon.

Keep watching the section of your phone/ipad that shows 3G, wi-fi, etc... As soon as you are out of range it will display "Cellular at Sea."

According to the FOX 29 Buffalo website the Cowboy 49er game will air at 4:00 pm EDT.

Unfortunately the Bills play at home at 1:00 against the Raiders and NBC carries that game so FOX is prohibited from running a game at the same time.

Set your DVR. :(

I am glad someone asked this question because we were wondering the same thing.... How were we going to see the Packers beat the Vikings when we are on the Legend in Nov... Good thing it is a Monday Night game... Maybe a better chance of catching it. We have watched the Pack play while sitting on a beach in the Dom Rep, and at Packer bars all over including Germany....looking forward to watching at sea. We cheeseheads are definitely a devoted group!

Fox only carries NFC games...Bills and Raiders are both AFC teams.

You will definitely be able to see the Monday night game against the Vikings on the ship. Our first cruise we spent the first 4 hours in the Sports Bar watching the Packers beat the Seahawks in a playoff game. Missed the playoffs in 2009 so no game when we sailed and both playoff games last January were the day before we sailed and the day we got back, so watched them in Fort Lauderdale (the night before when they played the Falcons in a bar whose owner was from WI, made for a rough first cruise day after all that celebrating). I was checking ahead to see when playoff games will be when we sail next January and we will be in Half Moon Cay the day of the Conference Championships, so if the Packers are still in it and the game is the afternoon, we might have to head back to the ship a little early.

We have been searching out "Packer Bars" since about 2006 when we are away on vacation during football season. Found an awesome one in Orlando where they open on Sundays for Packer games only and everyone shows up looking like they are going to Lambeau Field -we had the best time and were treated like family. So yes, us Packer fans are die-hard! I'm a 40 year old female and have been watching Packer games since Lynn Dickey was the QB and Bart Starr the coach. Went through two decades of losing seasons still watching my team every week, so feel I have earned the right to brag a little now that my team has been good!

Too bad FOX is not able to show the 1pm game in the Buffalo market so the OP can watch the whole thing live. Although it should be pretty one sided, I am interested to watch Cam Newton play against us. Sure hope our defense is a little more coordinated this week then they were against the Saints. If we would not have reverted to the prevent defense as usual when we run up a score it should not have been as close with as many points scored against us, but still had a few too many big plays get away and not enough turnovers.

Fixed.

The rest of the post is essentially correct. The opposite network is prohibited from airing a game in direct competition when the local team is playing at home.
